ID/HIV RESEARCH Seminar Series

SUNY DHSU’s Division of Infectious Diseases and STAR Program’s ID/HIV Research Seminar provides weekly evidence-based education to multidisciplinary healthcare professionals on the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of infectious diseases; epidemiological data for global, national and local populations, including emerging diseases; substance use disorders, behavioral health and public policy aspects related to HIV disease. The target audience includes SUNY DHSU academic faculty, fellows, residents, health professions students, and clinicians in practice at hospitals, community health care centers, and community-based organizations.

Weekly seminars take place September through May via Zoom, with ID fellows’ research projects presented May through June as hybrid meetings. This series is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education and is also recognized by the NYS Education Department’s State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers.
